Superheros!

Here are some decorated sugar cookies I did for the cutest brother/sister joint birthday party! The two year old girl aka "Laurel Girl" and four year old "Micah Man" had an amazing party with all their friends! They all had capes with their first name initial on, along with masks, enjoyed "power" food with the most perfect crafty decorations! Was so fun to see!

Cutie Pa Tooties

Look at these precious faces..... they are actually what make my crafty attempts look so cute. This little love to the right is sporting a plain white onesie that I ironed on the "give peas a chance" decal. She then has a hot pink tutu made from tied tulle and elastic (don't give me that look, yes it's that easy...google it). She also is sporting the cutest polka dot leg warmers..... and although you cannot see it, have bows and tulle sewn to them. And last but not least is her bow, which is a sewn ribbon flower, along with tool and ribbon, glued on a barrette and pinned on the soft crochet type headband.

My other little love to the left is wearing homemade pj pants made with a girlie raindeer print flannel and a matching blanket that has both the raindeer print and hot pink fleece. This will be the last pair of pants I will ever make without a pattern,..... because the ones I attempted for adults all had crotch splitting problems..... (TMI? I am really sorry, just being honest).

Gig Em Aggies.... Saw Em Off!

I had to post these crafts together so that my aggie husband doesn't disown me.....kidding. To the left is the fleece snuggie tie blanket I made for cold foodball games....(not really ever needed in Texas, except for the one game BEFORE I made the blanket). But so popular by our aggie friends that I had to make three more just like it! To the right is my wonderful friend showing off her longhorn snickerdoodle cookie cake that I made her for her birthday.

ASTROS Birthday Theme

This cake was for an astros themed birthday party. I look at this cake and wish I had it to do all over again, I was running out of steam and time and used one of those tube frostings in red to make the baseball stripes....BIG mistake. Those things don't work so hot......there is nothing like using your own soft icing in a piping bag for even distribution. But the layout and design are very cute I think. I wrapped the cake with "Take Me Out to The Ball Game" ribbon, and then used two fondant baseballs, and a fondant star as the center point and added the birthday star's name with stickers and cardstock.

Log Bed Cake - Bachorlette Party

The couple getting married are very "Texas" in taste and show, so I decided to make their bed for her bachorlette cake very western looking. Come to find out, the groom had actually just built a log bed for their home......!!!! I used those fancy pirouette cookies, using melted caramels as the logging glue (or whatever you call that sticky stuff that fills in between the logs....which I SHOULD know since I grew up in a log home, but I do not) , and covered the cake in fondant (aka. sheets, and comforter) the pillows are smooshed marshmellows covered in a fondant pillowcase. I cut the underclothes out of sugar sheet paper.

Baby Kenzie's Diaper Cake

So I did not knit or crochet the cute little hat or flowers, merely sewed the little flowers to the hat. But the other three flowers on the cake are ribbon flower/bows I made and glued onto hair barrettes for baby Kenzie. These are the ones you can pin onto those soft headbands while they are infants and then pin in their hair when they grow some!

Safari Cake w/ Elephants

Live and Learn right? I really wanted stand up elephants so I decided to use sugar cookies since I was making some already anyhow. Well of course I don't have an elephant cookie cutter, so I freehanded these elephants with my handy dandy butter knife and iced to match the cake........ not completely professional looking.....but I had so many irons in the fire with other food, and decorations, etc. I didn't have time to completely focus on the cake....

Elephant Safari Cookies

These are some cookie creations for Alaina's Baby Shower. Top tier: Tiny elephants. Middle Tier: Zebra Print Onesies. Bottom Tier: Zebra Print w/tiny elephant. Next Post will have the cake and diaper cake.

Teeny Tiny Toes Cakes

Polka Dot Cake, Girlie Teddy Bears and Onesie Cookies

I put each of the onesie cookies in individual bags with cute ribbon as party favors. The left bottom was a picture of the hostess's set up.

Baby Boy Shower....with Teddy Bears....ahhhhhhhhhhh!
One of my sweet friends was hosting this shower and I put together the decorations, name tags, games, cookies and cake. Totally a dream to somehow, someday have a business where I can handle all the tiny details to events that make them stand out. For some reason I always want to go all out.....and think of all sorts of things to add to make the party, or shower into an EVENT!
